I would mock your pain with tales of our sunshine, but I recall midwestern winters and how they sucker-punch you just when you think the worst is over; and I simply cannot find it in my heart to pour salt in your wounds. Do you need me to send batteries or something? Dehydrated food? Scotch?

kilax: it’s seriously making me insane. i had to dig out my boots and snow scraper today and i was swearing the entire time.
sir: what were you thinking?! can’t you get your PhD in phoenix or san diego or somewhere?
robin: you should hide white eggs outside in the snow – the hunt will last until fall!
kris: sorry to break it to you, but you’re going to have to find your car under a pile of snow. i don’t think we’re going to get as much as the news at 6 would like us to believe, but it’s still a colossal mess and really, really depressing.

I read about the storm online and am now dreading heading home. It’s SPRING here in Portland! Trees budding! Flowers blooming! Not snowing! I don’t want to have to get home and then have to go dig out my car.
