Rabbit Redux

When I stopped at my parents’ house last Sunday to celebrate mother’s day, in addition to a bag full of leftovers from dinner, I also brought back my beloved rabbit head.

“Now, what exactly are you going to do with that rabbit head?” my mother asked, eyebrow raised.

The question is, what aren’t I going to do with this rabbit head?

God, I've missed the rabbit head. I'll never let us be separated this long again.

This is somehow amazingly bizarre, twisted, and yet sensual. I wonder if I have a rabbit head fetish heretofore gone unnoticed.

As I stated on Flickr....I'm pretty sure the "Rabbit Head of Evil" made you chew off your cat's head in that last picture.

I swear to God you are the funniest person on the interweb.

You are so fantastically weird. I adore you.

I love how your cat Arithmetic is all cuddly and into the rabbit head while Mathmatic is all "Sigh. Do you SEE what I have to put up with here?"

Rabbit Head makes me want to hide under my bed and cry. Or hit it with a stick. I'm kind of torn here...

Posted by: Dave2 at May 20, 2007 06:44 PM

karl: you wouldn't be the first to repress the rabbit fetish.

adena: it does appear that way, but i can assure you that no kittens were harmed in the making of these photos.

heather anne: [Sometimes Rabbit blushes and kicks the ground] :)

mihow: that might be the nicest compliment i've ever received - thanks!

kris: actually, that's trigonometry on the couch. she has no sense of humor.

dave2: don't be afraid of 'lil ole rabbit head. c'mere, you!

It's like Donnie Darko for cool chicks or something....very surreal yet awesome!

Were the cats frightened?

I can't wait for the next episode of "Ms. Rabbit Head" :D

It isn't the rabbit head... it's those gloves. Don't ask me to stand up yet, ok? Wait. Wait...

Posted by: RW at May 20, 2007 09:50 PM

I like Rabbit's red chair. But I wonder, is it red with the blood of kittens? The last photo scares me, what with the decapitation of the kitty and all.

Thank you so much. I came in to work this morning, and this is the first thing I saw. Rabbit head pics are the bomb-diggity on Monday mornings.

Posted by: Strode at May 21, 2007 06:35 AM

hilly: ha - thanks! i think my rabbit is slightly less creepy than the one in donnie darko, but only slightly... :)

sandra: not at all. although my boy cat keeps trying to crawl inside the head everytime i set it down.

geeky tai-tai: stay tuned...

RW: even a rabbit has to protect her hands from harsh dishwater!

shari: really, i swear! i did not eat my cat's face!

strode: so glad i could help on a monday morning!

Posted by: jenny at May 21, 2007 06:59 AM

sooo creepy...

Posted by: dee-dee at May 21, 2007 04:26 PM

Oh, my fur and whiskers...

I'm late, I'm late (As in being one of the last ones to comment on this, your most pixieish (?) blog entry ever.) Your humor always amazes me...

I can't wait for the third installment of Rabbit Head stories.

Oh suuuuUUUUuuure ... YOU didn't eat the cat's face ... I'm sure it was the Rabbit. Good defense. But, I'm wondering what it did to that other poor cat on the arm chair that he couldn't move at all from one pic to the next.

Posted by: Michelle at May 21, 2007 06:37 PM

Perhaps you would, but I am not convinced I'd get bored of 365 rabbit heads.

Posted by: ashbloem at May 21, 2007 07:06 PM

Words cannot describe the sheer awesomeness of Sometimes Rabbit just hanging out around the house. This is hysterical, Jenny. Any chance Rabbit will have a face-off with Atlas Bunny?

Posted by: Iron Fist at May 21, 2007 08:12 PM

I'm impressed that your cats are so well adjusted that the rabbit head didn't freak them out. I can't say the same for myself.

Posted by: churlita at May 21, 2007 09:08 PM

dee: you're partly to blame, you know. you were with me when i got it...

fiorello: i think the later chapters might take a darker turn. we'll have to see.

michelle: it is kind of weird how she doesn't move, isn't it? i'll bet you were really good at those games in the newspaper where you had to identify the differences between two pictures!

ash: be careful what you wish for...

iron fist: i'm pretty sure atlas bunny would kick sometimes rabbit's ass any day of the week. did you see the arms on that thing?

churlita: yes, but you are not used to my antics like they are. :)

Posted by: jenny at May 22, 2007 06:54 AM

So hot and damn do I ever want that rabbit head. Do you work with that sucker on?

Posted by: egan at May 22, 2007 03:59 PM

This made me very happy.
