Goats?

don: well... as awesome as it was to be a part of that scene, i also wanted to get home before all the action happened because i couldn't hear a thing over the crowds. so it was the best of both worlds.
christie: yeah - i didn't quite get that either. and we were all warned not to bring bags onto the site, but this guy gets away with bringing a life-sized goat? security!

Awesome. I kept my eye out for you amidst the crowd on tv, but alas, you'd already split. I'm sure I would've seen you otherwise. :)
(With a crowd that huge, I wouldn't have lasted long standing around in the crush myself. I'm psyched you stopped by and took pics though.)

Thanks for braving the crowds for us! :-D

When my kids are asked someday, "Where were you when President Obama was elected?", they'll get to proudly say, "Home. Watching television." Not exactly as awesome as, "At Grant Park in Chicago watching his acceptance speech live!!"
*sigh*
If only Chicago had mountains...

claire: yeah, i was probably gone by then. plus they were mostly showing the ticket-holding crowd on tv. i was in the non-ticket holding crowd, where we were just thrilled to have a jumbotron to watch!
dave2: i'm really glad i went down there, even if it was only for a few hours.
shari: well... i didn't stick around until 11pm to watch him live. i was out of there by about 8:30, when all the masses started flooding in. but yes, you should still move to chicago! we have hills! kind of.

Once he gained the goat vote, McCain really had no chance.

I think it's awesome that you went to Grant Park. Just awesome!

sir: i've always said that the goats were the true swing voters. finally someone listened to me.
kat: they know what's what.
pants: it really was!
lisa: it was so much fun to be a part of the excitement!
