Hey, I was just curious. Would it seem kind of disgusting if I ate an entire jar of spicy pickled okra in two days?
How about if it was really closer to one day?
Just checking.

Depends on the size of the jar! If it was a jar from the local supermarket – no big deal! If it was a jar from Costco – you may have some issues!

Unless it was one of those Costco-sized gallon jars…

  5. jenny Says:

smug: phew… it was local supermarket sized.
    sir: can i clone you?
dave2: you and smug think alike. now, i think i need to research this costco place!

  6. sizzle Says:

all i can say is…better you than me.

  7. Rhea Says:

I would say it would be ‘highly uncalled for’ rather than ‘disgusting’.

i TOLD you not to get knocked up in Mississippi!
    Jennn-neeee! WA-WA-WAHHH

  9. Tracy Lynn Says:

Absolutely not. Unless you ate them naked, which totally would be weird. And definitely gross.

  10. jenny Says:

    sizzle: mmmm. okra!
    rhea: fair enough. fair enough.
brandon: then maybe you shouldn’t have introduced me to your cousin(s).
tracy lynn: you wear clothes when you eat? hello… prude?!

  11. churlita Says:

Maybe if you were eating the okra off of someone…Maybe that would be more fun than gross, though.

  12. asia Says:

only because okra is a totally disgusting abomination, much like the slug and the gay republican. you should try pickles. a jar a day keeps the doctor away.

  13. jenny Says:

churlita: eating okra off someone? eating okra naked? how have i missed out on all the okra kink going on in the world?
asia: et tu? i thought for sure you’d be an okra fan. don’t you eat pickled anything? (slugs aside…)

  14. roy Says:

Wonder no longer! Yes, it would be considered highly inappropriate, questionable, even, and so, so disgusting, okra being, as it is, very similar at the molecular level to snail trails.

  15. shari Says:

Okra, pickled or otherwise, is the least of your worries, sistah: You don’t know Costco??? I have seriously failed you as a friend if you really need things in industrial-sized packaging.

  16. jenny Says:

roy: well. why don’t you and asia go pack your bags and move to your deserted island where there’s no okra. but i’ll tell you this – a world without okra is not any kind of world i want to live in.
shari: i’ve never actually been in a costco. i think it’s probably a bad idea for me to step foot in one…

I’d think of it as ambitious!
