TequilaCon ’06: Round Two

Okay, this time I think the date will stick. It will. It will stick. But I’m not engraving any invitations this time – it’s eVite all the way!

What: TequilaCon ‘06
When: April 21-23, 2006 [Main Event will be April 22]
Where: New York City, NY
Who: Still everyone. Yes, that means you, too!
Why: How else would we celebrate the week after Easter if not by consuming obscene amounts of tequila?

For those of you who still need convincing, go here for the history. And if you haven’t RSVP’d already, let me know if you’re interested in joining the fun! Exit polls indicate that anywhere from 3 to 50 bloggers will be there. The question is: can you afford not to go?

Just want to state, for the record, that I am still in even though the date has changed.

Sadly, I will not be darkening NYC’s door until June. I’m sure tales from this gathering will be legendary by then.

  3. Cheryl Says:

Can I ask the committee to consider L.A. as the site for TequilaCon ’07? Being so close to the Mexico border must bode well for the local tequila, right? Perhaps the judges would like to receive a few “sample” bottles to help them make their decision (hey, bribery worked for Salt Lake City). Till then, I’ll have to stick with drinking alone.

  4. Carrington Says:

If there is TequilaConning on April 22 (the Saturday) then I, for one, am willing to make the drive to NYC so I might become as TequilaConnish as I possibly can. And that’s pretty darn TequilaConnish, let me tell you. Count me in.

  5. Jessica Says:

    I’m still in!

  6. Roy Says:

I can’t be there, but could someone print out my profile picture and prop it up next to an empty glass somewhere on the table? Later on, you all can tell me what I did.
(That’d be just like as if I was really there.)

  7. shari Says:

Gaaaaah! I don’t know if I can be there — I will do my very best.

  8. trisha Says:

You look very pretty today, Jenny.

  9. brando Says:

oh! i don’t think i can make it now either!
just kidding. so, is there like one main event on the 22nd? so the 21st is ‘headache night and optional registration’, and the 23rd is ‘hangover afternoon and optional departure’?
i’ll post an announcement on my site tomorrow.

I don’t want to hear anything about anybody not making it. I just don’t want to hear it. Well… I suppose there’s always TequilaCon ’07.
And yes, Brandon – I think that’s exactly the plan. Saturday will be the main event w/ Friday and Sunday for prep and recovery.
    See y’all there!

  11. jill Says:

there. there. there. and with a promise to herein be difficult only after several drinks.

  12. Wiggy Says:

You are SO cool, Jen! My husband said I could go; I wish Roy could go, too. (Try to convince him with your invincible charm and witty repartee!)
Oops. I don’t currently have a blog; better get one up right away!

  13. sandra Says:

    I’m in! I’m in!
One thing, though…I fear that I may annoy the living crap out of everyone, as my birthday is but five short days after the Main Event. And in the world of a Birthday Self-Promoter…well, that’s pretty darn close. I’ll do my best to shut up about it…maybe.

  14. Neil Says:

I’ll bring my leftover matzoh from Passover to use as crackers to eat with the tequila.

  15. Alissa Says:

Now that the date has changed I think I might just be able to make it!

  16. patricia Says:

oh man. i don’t think the new dates are gonna work for me at all. that’s such a bummer! i was looking forward to it.

  17. Caitlinator Says:

I’m in; plus one non-blogger whom I hope to convert but realistically speaking probably won’t.
