SAVE. THE. DATE.

What do these three things have in common?

1. Blogging
2. Tequila drinking
3. Hockey playing

Give up? All three of these activities are likely to be happening next April when TEQUILACON GOES INTERNATIONAL! That’s right… bust out the passports, pack the Cuervo in your checked baggage, we’re taking a road trip to Canada, people!

Earlier this year, the Official TequilaCon Planning Committee met in Las Vegas to review all the TequilaCon 2010 candidate cities’ application videos and make our final selection.

[Dave, Brandon and Vahid hard at work on official TequilaCon Planning Committee business.]

It was a grueling weekend with a lot of heated discussions over the craps tables. At one point, we thought about letting the roulette wheel make our final decision, but ultimately we knew we couldn’t leave such an important decision up to chance. So it is with great excitement that I get to announce next year’s TequilaCon location:

We will announce more details as we have them, but for now, mark your calendars and renew your passports. We need to help Vancouverites fill the lonely void that will inevitably be left in their lives after Olympics-mania sucks them dry.

  6. Ren Says:

Yeah! Haven’t been to Vancouver in over a decade, though I was thinking about taking the family in March if the skiing is still good. We’ll probably go somewhere closer, though. Assuming I can get a flight for less than an arm & a leg, I should be able to make it.

As I spend a lot of time in YVR, I’m a possibility. I’ll definitely be there May 02, though- running the BMO half-marathon.

    Happy New Year Jen!

  24. Brandon Says:

I’m totally there, a relatively short drive for me. Plus Vancouver is one of my favorite places. Please put me on the email list. Thanks!

  25. Sheila (Charm School Reject) Says:

    Put me on the list!

I’ll be there barring any major illnesses and natural disasters.

  26. Jen Says:

Although I blogged maybe a grand total of 5 times myself this year, my (other) favorite Jenny is not far from my thoughts! I live across the pond on Vancouver Island – only a 26 km ferry ride away so please add me to the list. I’m a big Tequila fan. April? Bring umbrellas. Don’t expect a lot of ‘good’ tequila reasonably priced in BC though, most bars and liquor stores draw the line at Cuervo, El Jimador and Two Fingers. Most recommendable is Cazadores. Feel free to call on me with any Vancouver questions.

Oh, I am SO THERE. I’ve known about it forever (A birdy told me), and am finally RSVP-ing. Because I’m at dinner with Vahid (Brandon couldn’t make it) and he clued me in that the whole thing is live.

    Can’t wait.
