TequilaCountdown

Am I going crazy, or is there a subtle, salty scent of lime in the air? Oh that’s right, people. I’m talking about TequilaCon 2006!

[Just throw your hands in the air]

After a grueling selection process, all votes have been tallied, and the winning location for TC’06 is…

[Now wave ‘em like you just don’t care]

New York City
April 22, 2006
7:00pm – whenever I start to embarrass myself (the rest of you can all stay later)
Stout NYC
133 W. 33rd St., New York, NY
Between Sixth and Seventh Aves.
212-629-6191

According to the official list, we should have around 25-30 bloggers attending, not to mention all the, “Don’t try to pin me down with your rules and lists, Jenny! I’m a frickin’ blogger – you can’t make an anarchist like me RSVP!” people who will hopefully stop by at some point during the evening.

So – if you want to be on the list to receive the welcome packet with special museum discounts, handy tote bag and 10% off subway fares*, email me your info and I’ll make you an official attendee. Otherwise, if you’re in the NYC area on April 22, don’t be a stranger – stop by and say hi! I’ll be the one scribbling in a notebook, sitting behind a row of empty shot glasses. Or you can just look for Jill or Jessica or Brandon – they will be in the bathroom holding my hair at some point**.

*Not true.

**True.

And what great hair to hold!!

  2. jenny Says:

Jess: Sure, you say that now, but… :)

  3. brandon Says:

I think it’s only fair if we ALL get a chance to hold your hair at least once, Jenny. In fact, I was planning on setting up a photo station in the women’s restroom so all 25-30 of us could leave with a meaningful memento.
So make sure you get plenty to eat.

Brandon: I have now corrected this horrible oversight. Please be sure to photograph me from the left – I think it’s my good side.

  5. sween Says:

Dang it all. I wish I could be there.
Maybe I’ll sit in my living room and drink tequila alone on the 22nd.
    Just to get the feeling.
I wonder if My Lovely Wife would let me hold her hair in the bathroom… just to get the feeling?

  6. jenny Says:

Sween: Don’t even get me started on the lack of Canadian representation at TC’06… thank god for Carrington – he’s going to have to drink for all of you! But I’m sure that if your wife truly cares about you, she will gladly let you hold her hair while she pretends to vomit. For better or for worse, as they say.

yay! i am sure excited to meet everyone. i would offer to do some hair-holding, you know just because i am from NYC and want to be a good host, but i fear vomit. i think i might actually have a phobia. i am “speaking” to someone about it.

  8. Anonymous Says:

    Dear Jenny,
I am looking forward to your visit and meeting all the bloggers. What do bloggers look like? I guess I am about to find out.
    Love,
    Vivian

Ooo! Also. My blogger/college friend Lillet from whatdidweeverdotoyou.blogspot.com will probably come with me. Hope that’s ok! Yay.

ohmygod, I can’t believe TequilaCon is right around the corner. I was going to try to make this a new thing, but there’s no way I’m going to be able to get to New York this month. You must post lots of pictures (I’m sure you will).
See you there next year…(crossing fingers)
